Summertime is Finally here!

Some of you may have thought we've disappeared but really we are just running all over the place ( and country for that matter) so I figured I'd update, but I'll have do to do it part by part or it won't ever get done.

We celebrated Triton's 4th birthday the 24th of May. He got lots of Spiderman stuff (his new thing) and of course more Thomas the train items that he loves. All he talks about is going to Florida to "get on the shuttle to blast off to space" he loves the whole astronaut thing and couldn't wait to get to go to NASA this year in Florida.
Taylan has learned one of the best things about summer is icecream cones. We love to sneak to the Hungry Onion (the closest thing to Shoshone Snack Bar icecream) to get icecream. He sits down right when you give it to him. In this picture it just happened to be right in the middle of the sidewalk. Good thing he was outside cause he obviously really enjoys the whole thing, clear to the end then he jumps us and runs off.

I already love blogging!

Ok i already love this thing. it is a lot of work to get started but worth it. First of all i was able to get back in touch with my friend April, her and I taught in Middleton for four years together, then we lost touch when both of us quit teaching to stay home with kids...gee we must have gotten busy with kids the same age!
In other news, some people were worried about our cat:) Maybe it is because we tell Tabrina that she is going to inherit it if something happens to us, but Savannah always asks me if she can have my "pwitty white cat"
so Cottonball is doing well, this picture is of her hiding from the kids. we don't see her much, she sleeps in the closet all day and hunts all night, the perfect cat, what else can I say?

Family Update

Most people know what is going on in our lives lately, but there are a few friends and family members that aren't sure what exactly we are up to, so I thought that would be a good start.
Torrey still works at Performance Engineers. He is a structural engineer and likes what he does, I always screw up on explaining exactly what he does so I won't get in to that. He is only about 4 miles from home so he loves his short commute and loves it even more since he made his motorbike street legal. I tease him about his dirt bike in the city (& he thinks I am the hillbilly:), but at only $7 every other week for gas, I completely support him!
Lana after five years of teaching and commuting, now stays home with the boys and sells Mary Kay. She loves being able to be home and capture all those funny moments, Mary Kay is a huge blessing that gave her the chance to get to stay home and still earn money.
Triton is four now and is still a fanatic about trains. The picture is of him with his train ticket to the Horseshoe Bend Express, the ultimate ride of his life. He also likes space shuttles. He has had the chance to see one launch into space (Joyce and Butch live just 10 minutes from Kennedy Space Center) so when we go stay with them in the summer he gets to drive past it and loves the whole experience. He is very much a boy and keeps us going.
Taylan is 18 months old and is still our little "pocket baby" he loves to be held and is much smaller than Triton was at this age. He is a very easy baby, especially come bed or nap time. When you mention it he starts laughing. Then he rolls over and goes to sleep before you even get out of his room. What a charm. He loves running around after Triton and it is fun to watch them play.
Trooper is our basset hound, she really enjoys Lana staying home so she can nap inside all day. She tolerates the boys but is very good with them, we think they are the reason her face has gotten so gray lately. She follows Lana everywhere around the house hoping she'll get to go on a ride. She always has a big story she is howling about when Torrey gets home.
Again, we'd love to hear the latest in your family, leave us a comment.

Getting Started!

We've decided to jump on the Band-Wagon. Torrey's sisters, Lacy and Dacia, both have a blog for their families. We both enjoy logging on to their posts about once a week to see what is happening in their world. You'd think with all the technology: cell phones, e-mail, home phones, texting, ect. that we'd all keep in touch with each other. But the sad fact is we are all too busy...or at least think we are:) But being able to check on our family and friends at our convenience makes it very handy. So i am going to give this a try. I know I enjoy seeing the pictures of others and their family and very much enjoy the stories that go along with each entry.
So enjoy, and don't forget to post a comment to us, we always love to hear from you!
